O! M! G!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 opens in about sixteen hours in the USA's eastern time zone for all those (us?) fanatics who will be at midnight showings. Does anyone know if Newfies are getting HP 6.9 showings ninety minutes earlier? Probably; they get everything ninety minutes earlier. Except Newfie jokes; they get those ninety minutes later. But, I digress.
Edwin or Jacob? No, wait, that can't be right. Kirk or Picard? No, that can't be right. Yoko or Linda?

- Is this the best movie ever that's intentionally only the first half of a novel, or do you prefer, say, The Godfather instead?
- What was the last time you went to a midnight premiere of a movie? (What do you mean you've never gone to a midnight movie premiere? Don't you realize that reasonable people like you are why the worldwide housing bubble burst and why the worldwide economy is so depressed?) No, your 20th midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show doesn't count. I don't are if it was the premiere of your twentieth showing of RHPS.
- Wasn't The Bourne Identity a travesty, not admitting it was only the first third of the book, and even so changing the whole prologue of the story, and why wasn't the spunky female lead a FortySomething Canadian from Quebec like in the book?
- Isn't it great that we don't have to explain The Godfather, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or any of that to anyone old enough to join this group?
